The National Trust owns and manages much of the coastline either side of the Dart Estuary. From Slipway House you have access to the most wonderful coastal and river walks.
Depending on how far you want to go, the coastal path from the house takes you to some beautiful coves only accessed by foot as well as the sights such as Froward Point, Coleton Fishacre or Berry Head. Alternatively you can walk along the river through the beautiful wooded path to Greenaway with amazing views of the Dart and stop for lunch in Dittisham.
There are further beautiful coastal walks from the Dartmouth side of the river, whether it be a relatively short walk to Dartmouth Castle or further along the coast to the wonderful coves and beaches.
